Rhett's Preschool Christmas Program

Unfortunately we didn't get any photos of the program.  It was really crowded, and I only got a little video on my phone.  Pictured here is the dessert I brought for the party afterward.  Lots of important people came to see Rhett perform and I was able to get all those good looking people together for a picture.  Rhett sure is a lucky boy to have so many caring people in his life.

Butterflies

Last week, our caterpillars emerged from their cocoons and we let the boys carefully hold one.  One started flying around the house and the boys went CRAZY, screaming the laughing.  Fun times.  The next day, we let them know go.  We hope they've made a nice life for themselves somewhere in our nieghborhood.....

Hiking at Hart Park

At least every couple weeks I take the boys to Hart Park.  It's fantastic and FREE!  There's lots of animals (including a heard of bison), hiking trails, trains, and a restroom at the top the boys love to poo in.  Always fun.  It will be a sad day for me when they stop wanting to go.....

Stomping in the Puddles

After the last rainy day we had, the boys couldn't wait to put on their rain boots and go stomping around in the puddles.  They take this very seriously.  Notice both boys pants are thoroughly soaked!

Clay Camp!

Here's a picture a friend sent me to from clay camp.  I spent every waking moment of that week in this pottery studio.  Such an amazing/inspiring experience.  Here, I'm just putting some finishing touches on a few baskets, getting them ready for the bisque fire.

Halloween 2011

Here are a few pics of the boys on Halloween.  Unfortunately, Rhett was not feeling very well and told us he didn't feel like dressing up.  However, once the sun went down and there was mention of Cash putting on his costume, Rhett had a second wind and mustered up the energy to dress-up.  Because of poor sizing on the internet purchased costumes, Rhett ended up fitting in the dragon costume that Cash picked out, and Cash fit into Rhett's Pterodactyl getup.  They were good sports about it and accepted their costume fate like true reptiles.   They had a very prosperous trick o' treating session (loads of candy) and even braved the super spooky "witch" house across the street.

Rhett turns Four!

Today is Rhett's Birthday.  This year he was well aware that his birthday was coming.  He's been asking "how long till my birthday?" for months!  It started Sunday with a family party and concluded today with treats at preschool, dinner at Love's Sushi and presents with mom and dad.  I can't believe my little boy has been with us for four years now.....what a fun adventure it has been!

Picking Pumpkins

Wednesday afternoon we (mommy, daddy, dragon and pterodactyl) took a trip to our local pumpkin patch.  Lombardi's is a special place.  Not only do they have homegrown pumpkins, there's animals, corn and sunflower patches, haystacks and mazes and also old vehicles to climb in.  My boys had a fantastic time.  Can't wait to visit again!

Rhett was SO excited when we told him and he was going to get to do a bike race!  He was convinced he was going to place 1st because, "the bigger you are, the slower you are.  I'm really little, so I'll be faster than the big kids".
Anyhow, he a had a great time and also did a fantastic job of cheering me on too.  It was a great day for the little man.
