Day out on the town...bike tour

Today we spent my day off riding various different places...stopping at the park, Dinks deli (for Rhett's favorite potatoes), and Starbucks (for mom's coffee). On our way home, we found a very friendly stray cat. Rhett asked if it was possibly to ride his bike and carry the cat....he's a sweetheart, but we did not bring the cat home, much to his dismay. They were TIRED when we return. Mission accomplished!

Snaggle tooth...

Cash is in the x-ray chair, loving the spot light. After almost knocking his tooth out, he has to get it checked at the dentist periodically to make sure it's healing okay.

Chef Rhett

He was super excited to be a chef for Halloween!

Biking at the skate park

On Saturday's and Sunday at the local stake park, they open it just for little kids.  We bought some knee and elbow pads and ventured out one Saturday morning.  It was really hot, so we didn't last too long, but the boys had fun biking (and pushing their bike) around.

Cash is Three.....Yippeee

The greatest part about his Birthday was, he wasn't wearing any diapers!! My big boy is potty trained.  We're so proud of him. We had some cake and presents at the tail-end of Easter at Grammie and Papa Dave's house.  It was perfect since all the family and friends were there to help him celebrate.

Egg Hunt Fun!

When Jennifer, Bara, Alex Skuli, and Emma came to visit, I thought the boys would have fun hunting for eggs (filled with there dinner!), since Easter is just around the corner.   We called it "practice" for the real thing.  They found all the eggs pretty darn quickly...they didn't need any practice!

Just a little......SNOW!

After the storm yesterday I spied some snow up in the local mts.  There wasn't much left by the time we got up there, but the boys manage to make lots of snow balls and have a fabulous time!

Cash was most excited to taste the snow.  He had to taste every snow ball he made...yumm

The weather was amazing, unfortunately I got sick as soon as we got there.  The boys still had a great time.  They love riding around the camp ground and the smore's were a hit!

Valentine's Day

We had to post-pone our Valentines day cookie tradtion because Cash and I were really sick!  So glad that's over.  Anyhow, I made our traditional heart-shape iced sugar cookies.  I found this lacy design on a cookie website and was inspired to try it myself thinking if I could pull it off, maybe one day it would transfer over into my ceramics.  They were surprisingly easy to make, but again Gavin and I ate WAY too many.  Yum!!!

Play with Kellen and Kollin

Here are a couple of pictures from a play-day we had with Jen's two younger boys, Kellen and Kollin (the "K's" as she calls them).  I thought these were extra cute as they all tried to play the piano at the same time.  Music to our ears....ha!

Gav turns 36!

For his Birthday celebration, I made Gav's new favorite cupcakes (from scratch chocolate cake and Nutella butter-cream frosting).  We both ate WAY too many....hence the rule of only having desserts on special occasions! All the usually suspects showed up to wish him a Happy Birthday.  It was a fun little get together.

DISNEYLAND!!

Cruising the Monorail...Rhett's favorite ride

Chocolate ice cream for being such a good boy!
We had the BEST time at D-land yesterday.  Gav and I expected the boys (mainly Cash) to last only a few hours.  However, to our surprise, they lasted until just before closing.  The lines weren't too long, and the weather was warm, if not a little on the hot side (crazy for January) which made for a great Disneyland adventure.  We had such a great time, we might just have to take the boys again sometime before they leave for college...
